Efficiency Guru: I did a little soul-searching and figured out that there is no time like the present to start my own business.  Every job that I applied for, I was hoping I wouldn't get.  The idea of returning to Corporate America sickens me.  I am saddened by the fact that no one has job security anymore.  The people that do have jobs are having their salaries cut, not getting the raises they deserve and being overlooked for promotions.  Frankly, I can't take it anymore.  With that said, I am beginning to promote Efficiency Guru Virtual Assistance.  For all those people who just lost their admin support or need to outsource their marketing efforts, I am there for them.  If you know of anyone who is need of my services, please let me know.  I am building my client base as we speak and will take on short-term and long-term projects.  I should have the web site up in short order and will keep you all posted.

Wacky Wednesday:  As you know, I don't have much of a schedule lately.  Recently, Tom changed his work schedule to the morning shift.  I am now in charge of dropping off Laura at school.  For the longest time, I didn't have to think about what time she needed to be at school.  Strangely, Laura needs to be at school at 8:30am on Wednesdays.  So you can imagine the look on my face when I realized this at 8:15am this morning, still dripping wet from the shower that we just took.  There were skin colored streaks running through Area 51 as I got us both dressed and packed a lunch within 10 minutes.  I would have gotten her there maybe 10 minutes later if it wasn't for the fact that I couldn't find my keys.  Luckily, I had a spare car key.  That didn't help me, though, when I effectively locked myself out of the house in my frenzy to get Laura to school.  And without my cell phone.  To make a long story short, I was telling an awesome friend of mine what had happened.  He said, "What's wrong with you?  Did you look in your jacket pocket?".  Sure enough, there they were.

Friday Family Night:  January's Friday Family Night happened.  Where were you?  Swede, Todd and Coleman showed up.  T-Man and Lou-Dog were here.  Thedmo and Chris were fashionably late.  Therefore, I didn't get a whole lot of input as to where to hold February's Friday Family Night.  The rules were: (a) must be a "family" atmosphere and (b) must be within Orange County.  Here are the suggestions:
