Thank you for your kind words and great feedback!  If you missed last weeks update, you'll find it on the Archives Page.  Some people found it difficult to read the purple text so I have changed it to silver.  Let me know if this is better.  It is virtually impossible to please all of you, but I will do my darndest!  I also remember T-Man telling me once that the color blue is the hardest color for the human eye to see.  After knowing a lighting technician for 17 years, you'd think I'd know better.  T, you can spank me later.  OW!  I said, "Later"!

Goth Girl:  Lisa Jackson says I'm totally 'goth' (short for gothic).  Well, perhaps I am a closet 'goth' considering most of the clothes in there are black.  It IS my favorite 'shade' hence the black background.  As you might be able to tell, I have a soft spot for Dragons too.  Here's a Dragon Haiku for you:

PARTY!!  Tom hosted a belated birthday party for me at Area 51 last Saturday, May 12th.  Luigi made his infamous taquitos, guacamole and chocolate brownies (per my request).  Many people were there:  Don & Anne, Elana, Thedmo, Luigi, Lou-Dog, Skippy, Todd, Swede, T-Man and my brother, Tom.  It was just what the doctor ordered.  The guacamole was exquisite.  The taquitos were delicious.  The brownies were finger-lickin' good and Luigi make something special for me ~ chocolate covered strawberries.  Good lord!

Renee's Wedding Shower:  The shower was Saturday, May 12th as well.  This is all happening way too fast for me.  Wasn't it, like, fully over a year ago that we even got word of a proposal?  What happened between then and now?  Oh yeah, I blocked it out.

Keith's Bachelor Party:  The party was held last Friday night at the Newport Marriott.  The big day is coming up this Sunday!

Kirner's Escrow Blues:  Jim Kirner is in the process of buying a 3-bedroom, 1-bath home in Santa Monica.  This will allow him to be closer to his job at Alias WaveFront.  He just bought a Land Rover and is looking forward to the shorter commute.  Escrow should close by the end of May.

Michael W. Bickley:    My brother, Tom, flew down from Sacramento Saturday after hearing me say, "It would be nice if  we could go through this together", referring to visiting Michael in the VA hospital in Long Beach.  Nothing could have prepared us for what we were about to experience.  Mom had told us time and time again what his condition was and how he looked, but we soon understood that there was no way of describing how he truly looked.  Perhaps Anne Rice could have captured the image and translated it into words, but I'm just not that talented.  Bro and I stood there after retreating back into the hall from one glimpse, shocked and horrified at what we thought we just saw.  We weren't going back in there.  Ah, but Mom woke (our brother?  no...) him up and we sucked it in.  I don't know how I was standing.  God must have been holding me up.  Michael made the other three patients in the room look completely healthy and ready to be released in comparison to this indescribable vision we saw lying before us.  He barely had energy enough to speak.  Bloated with fluid, he looked 8 months pregnant, even though they drained another 2.5 liters out of him the day before, making it a total of 8 liters since this whole nightmare began 3 weeks ago.  In addition to his 3rd trimester belly, there was a tone to his skin that has been burned into my memory forever.  I didn't think skin could get that color?... shade?... hue?  His eyes were orange.  I am in no way, shape or form exaggerating.  In fact, I'm understating because I can't find the words to bring this image forward.   We walked out knowing, beyond any shadow of a doubt, it was the last time we would ever see him.
